If you are not into golf or tennis don’t worry, there are loads of other things to do in, and around, La Manga Club. Your first port of call should be the Activity Booking Centre where you can get information on everything from walking to water sports.
Walking
There are a number of walking routes, details of which can be obtained from the Activity Booking Centre. Recommended
routes are the woodland walk and the coastal walk to the Cenizas guns. These two walks will get you out into some nice
woodland with some great views along the rugged coastline.
The Woodland Walk is fairly accessible to anyone but is more challenging on the last section towards the view point on the coast. Click here for more details.
The coastal walk to the Cenizas guns is much more challenging with care needed on both the terrain and the navigation. The views on this route are ample reward. Click here for more details.
Mountain Biking
The Activity Booking Centre is also your place for hiring mountain bikes and there are also maps of the routes available
which will get you out and about around the club and the surrounding countryside. The area is quite hilly in places making some of the riding challenging
however the views of the resort and beyond are a superb reward for your efforts.
You’ve seen it on BBC Television Superstars, why not give it a try yourself. I’m talking about the mountain bike course. Great fun going down, a bit more of a challenge coming back up. The Calle de La Zorrera takes you down a very steep hill, with hairpin bends, to La Cala beach and restaurant so you can refill the tank before tackling the return journey.
Other Activities
The Activity Booking Centre can also arrange water sports activities in association with the Mar de Cristal water sports centre on the Mar Menor. Dinghy sailing and windsurfing rental and/or tuition is available as well as power boat trips and water skiing or wake boarding. If you just want to spend some time at the beach, sun beds and sun shades can also be hired for the day. The shallow waters of the inland sea make this an ideal family destination and pedaloes and canoes are also available for hire. Mar de Cristal is only 10 minutes drive from La Manga Club.
